Are you curious about the Spanish language? Well, at West Point Junior High, we
have a wonderful Spanish department! Spanish can be a hard, yet engaging language to learn. Whether they are assisting students to understand and accept diverse cultures, or educating them in grammar and storytelling, Mrs. Marquez-Lavine and Mr. Dawson do a fantastic job at helping kids understand concepts. These teachers are both creative in the way they lesson-plan and run their classes.
Students at WPJH feel like taking Spanish allows them to learn more about culture and how to understand and accept the community as a whole. Students who have taken Spanish feel that being bilingual has allowed them to be more successful in their education.
