"Burton Elementary Employee Spotlight School Psych and Counselor Week" with pictures of the counselor, psych, and behavior coach next to the text.

This week is school counselor appreciation week! To celebrate, we are spotlighting our school counselor, Andrea Brewster; school psychologist, Emma Bragg; and behavior coach, Heather Gardner!

Andrea is the school counselor for two elementary schools. Her favorite part of her job is being able to be silly. She has worked as a school counselor in Davis School District for 18 years. As school counselor, she supports students' emotional and social development and teaches Social and Emotional Learning lessons to all of the classes here at Burton.

Emma is also the school psychologist for two schools in the district. This is her first year here at Burton. She has worked for Davis School District for two years now, and she's been a school psychologist for three years. When asked about her favorite part of her job, she responded, "So far this year, my favorite part of the job has been getting to know the students. I love how some of them have taken it upon themselves to always say 'hello' to me when they walk by my office, regardless of if I directly work with them!"

This is Heather's second year as behavior coach here at Burton. Her favorite part about her job is getting to know all of the kids and being able to play with them at recess. As behavior coach, she supports students with the PAWS program, runs the Bulldog Bazaar, and manages the Principal 200 Club.

Thank you to these three wonderful people for their support for our students!
