Shoutout to our Literacy Coach: Sulma De Jong!
As Literacy Coach, Sulma oversees English and Language Arts throughout the school. She directs our Reading TAs and helps them with what they need. She also trains teachers on reading interventions they can use in their own classrooms and provides retraining on proctoring assessments and tests. Sulma is working toward being administration in a school one day! Sulma is the Literacy Coach for two different schools!
We are so grateful for Sulma and everything that she does here at Burton Elementary!
