Shoutout to our second grade team: Emily Moore, Mindy Smith, and Colleen Sullivan!
Emily Moore has taught here at Burton for 14 years. She's been a teacher for 22 years in total. Her favorite part of her job is the amazing students she gets to work with every year. She also loves to spend time in the Uinta mountains.
Mindy Smith has worked for the district for 30 years. One fun fact about her is that her maiden name and her married name are the same (Smith). Her favorite part of her job is teaching students to read and experience the epic adventures within books.
Colleen Sullivan has also taught here for 14 years. When asked about her favorite part of her job, she said, "I love being with the kids. There is never a dull moment. It is so exciting to see how far they come and all the things they learn in our short 9 months together." Mrs. Sullivan has three grandkids, a set of 3-year-old twin boys and a 6 month old girl.
