On Friday, Oct. 2, Burton Elementary is joining schools and communities across Utah for the Statewide Read-A-Thon. Our students will set aside time to read, explore new ideas and celebrate the joy of reading.
What will you be reading?
Wednesday, September 23rd, and Thursday, September 24th are Early Out Days.
School will dismiss at 1:30 PM on both days due to Parent-Teacher
Conference schedule.

We are looking forward to connecting with families during Parent-Teacher Conferences on September 23–24! This year, conferences will be by appointment only, with each family signing up for a 15-minute appointment with their child’s classroom teacher.
Beginning Monday, September 14, parents and guardians can log in to MyDSD to schedule a conference time. Students are encouraged to attend with their families.
Individual appointment times will allow teachers to have meaningful, focused conversations with each family while helping us keep conferences running on schedule and meet the requirements outlined in SB 241.
If you feel you need more than 15 minutes to discuss your child’s needs, please reach out to your child’s classroom teacher to arrange a longer meeting at another time.

Families, students, staff and community members recently gathered to celebrate the completion of Burton Elementary's new addition with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house.
This exciting expansion provides enhanced learning spaces designed to support student success for years to come. Thank you to everyone who helped bring this project to life, including Willmeng Construction and MHTN Architects, whose partnership made this vision a reality.
Here's to a great school year ahead and the many memories that will be made in these new spaces.
