INFINI D Learning provides students with the opportunity to creatively apply the current curriculum they have been getting via teacher instruction. In the computer lab through game-like simulation modules, engaging team missions, and immersive environments; each students’ mastery of classroom instruction is put to the test in a variety of subject areas with innovative technical and social skill training. The INFINI D Lab brings subject matter to life.
Students in the upper grades receive unique role assignments for each mission. And students in the younger grades all work together on the missions. Every time we launch we are doing things like: venturing through space, exploring the human body, traveling among creatures on earth (both alive and extinct), and so much more!
ANNUAL KEYBOARDING CONTEST:
I wanted to give all of you a "heads up" about the District-Wide Typing Competition. The top typist in 4th, 5th, and 6th grade will go to the competition in March.
I need to provide the names of the students that will be attending from our school in January.
At the competition, there are 5 awards, and the winners of each category receive $100! 1st place for 4th, 5th, and 6th grade; as well as top overall typist, and top overall school.
Last year, I didn't know this event existed! And thus, had no time to prepare any of the students from Burton.
This year, I know it's coming! And I want the kids to be as excited as I am!
Maybe the prize money can be more of an incentive for all of the students to work on their typing?
I will continue to administer typing tests. And I will attempt to get the students "psyched up" to type over Christmas break...
And, of course, I will alert all of you to the names of the students that I finally submit, to send to the competition, come January.
